Convenient locaiton, access to promenade and near the bus
We would definitely book again as the hotel met requirements. Location is marvellous, stuff is friendly. Balcony was a bonus.
Ideal location, walking distance of town centre. The lobby was clean
Comfortable room, generally excellent service
Some reception staff unable to answer queries on local facilities. Slightly unpleasant odour from bathroom
The staff were very friendly and the seaview room was delightful. The breakfast service was high class.
Our bedroom window didn't open and the jacuzzi wasn't bubbling.
The restuarant was very good and room was spacious
The gym wasn't very well equipped and small and the swimmimg pool was closed
staff are excellent Sir Normans next door excellent
room needs a little up date but very clean
The fantastic room that we stayed in with the beautiful view over Douglas Bay. Also, the exquisite meal that we had in the Gallery Restaurant. The shops were nearby and it was very friendly there.
We were not informed that the swimming pool was not in use!!!!
Lovely room, excellent staff and very relaxed atmosphere.
Pool locked due to ? chlorine levels. Noise from main road if window ajar. Spa not readily available, outside phone no only.
Our suit room was very good & the mini kitchen was equipped ver well. We hope to return to the Sefton next year & will be booking one of your suit rooms. Regards - Anne Senior
A little short on car parking
The food in the restaurants was excellent and the service was very good.
I felt the exchange rate was too high, it was considerablly higher than the rate charged at the bank. One reason that I chose the Sefton, as I was not familiar with the Isle was the location relative to the port, it was more than a 10 minute walk from the port. This would not deter me from recommending or returning to the hotel.
The Sefton is close to everything we needed to see. The suite we had was confortable, clean, the hotel staff very friendly. Although it was a rainy day the sea view was just perfect
Nothing to say. Everything was up to the standard
Central Position. Undergroud car parking. Very friendly staff in most areas - see below. Choice of dining.
A key factor in choosing The Sefton was its spa and swimming pool. This was closed for the entire period of our stay. We are very annoyed at this, and it spoilt our holiday. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the exception of the breakfast dining; the staff deliberately avoided eye to eye contact making requests for services a challenge.
We found it a very friendly and welcoming hotel with a very nice relaxed atmosphere and catered for all our wants.
Only complaint breakfast service, a) dreadful toaster, b) had to order butter and when it came it was very sparce i.e. 3 on a table 2 miniscule pats with a pile of parsley bigger than the butter, why o why not just put pr-packed butters on the buffet also could have done with having some crispbreads/crackers and cheese spreads for those of us who do not want a cooked breakfast and a better choice of youghurts.
The Sefton has obviously been one of the top hotels in Douglas but some parts of the hotel are showing their age. We stayed in a suite as a result of an upgrade and all facilities in the suite were top notch. The location is very central on the promenade and convenient for shops, restaurants, buses etc. .
